Inga Ganzer, born in Berlin, studied Interior architecture at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle/Saale. With scholarships of the state of Saxony-Anhalt she did research about Hermann Muthesius and the reception of Japanese architecture and interiors in German “Raumkunst”. This led to a dissertation project in Art History at Martin-Luther-Universität Halle/Wittenberg, finished in 2014. Her focus is on interior design history from 1890 to 1930ies with a special interest in Werkbund and pre-modern movements just after 1900. Inga Ganzer is partner of the interior architectural studio “raumdeuter” in Berlin and has taught at Burg Giebichenstein, Hochschule Anhalt-Dessau and Wentworth Institute of Technology Boston.
