Student Affairs Specialist
As the Student Affairs Specialist, Dinah Kübeck is a contact person for prospective as well as current students. She supports current and new students in matters relating to the university and works closely with admissions. Dinah studied illustration and painting at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and at Parsons The New School for Design in New York. In conjunction with a Fulbright Scholarship, she also studied painting at the LeRoy E. Hoffberger School of Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. During her studies at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Dinah worked at the International Office and dealt with students from all over the world. Beyond her work at BAU International Berlin, Dinah is also working as a visual artist.
Kora Kirby, M.Sc.
Student Affairs Manager
As the Student Affairs Manager, Kora Kirby is the first contact for prospective as well as current students. She supports current and new students in matters relating to the University and works closely with recruitment and admissions. Additionally, she provides confidential support to students when needed.
Kora Kirby was born in Berlin and grew up bilingual, speaking both German and English. Her studies have included a BA in Vocal & Choral Studies at the University of Winchester and an M.Sc. in Neuroscience of Language at Reading University. Since leaving University, where she worked as an International Student Officer in Winchester and a Programme Administrator in Reading, she has moved back to Berlin. She is currently continuing her studies in Berlin and pursuing her diploma in Music Therapy.
Ferat Kocak, Dipl. Volkswirt
Ferat Kocak was born in Berlin and studied at Freie Universität Berlin Economics. He earned a "Diplom Volkswirt" degree which is equivalent to a Master of Business Economics. After completing his Management Trainee Program at Allianz Insurance, Ferat Kocak worked as Project - and Business Development Manager in Sales and Marketing. Afterworks he started his own business as Finance and Insurance Consultant in Germany and as Sales and Marketing Consultant for international companies in Germany, Turkey and UAE. After finishing his last project in UAE, he moved back to Berlin, where Ferat Kocak has taken on the role of the Marketing and Sales Specialist at BAU International Berlin - University of Applied Sciences. Since October 2016 he holds the position of Marketing Director and serves as manager of all promotion and student recruitment activities.
Tim David Kremser, M.A.
Academic Coordinator / Head of Examinations Office
Tim David Kremser was born in Berlin and studied at Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Nottingham (UK). He earned a Master of Arts degree in North American Studies, Political Science, and Sociology.
Tim Kremser worked in administrative and teaching positions at Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Toronto (European Office). Before joining BAU International Berlin, he was Academic Coordinator of the newly established Bahcesehir University Berlin Campus and headed the administration of the campus’ management company from 2012 to 2015. Among other institutions, he also worked for the German Historical Museum (DHM) and the Allied Museum in Berlin.
At BAU International Berlin, he coordinates the course planning, lecturer management, and the general implementation of the study programs in conjunction with the two faculties. Since the 2017-18 Academic Year, he heads the university's Examinations Office. During the foundational phase of BAU International Berlin from 2014 to 2017, he established the study area of General Vocational Preparation (GVP / ABV) the Summer Course program and BAU International Berlin's student exchange system. He currently manages the university's Summer School program and its General Vocational Preparation (GVP) study area, which provides the students of both faculties with work-related skills for their future careers.
Susanna Bartsch was born in São Paulo where she studied History and Geography. She taught these subjects at public schools in her hometown before coming to Berlin. At the Humboldt University Berlin, she studied German Linguistics and French; after having earned her M.A. degree, she worked at the Centre for General Linguistics in Berlin, doing research in first language acquisition. Also in Berlin, Susanna trained as a Media and Information Service Professional. Her previous experience in the library and information area includes employments at the Humboldt University Library, the library of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the archive of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science. Currently, she works at the library of the German Institute for Human Rights and is Head of Library at BAU International Berlin.
Nornia Nitschke was born in Berlin and studied Cultural Studies and American Studies at the University of Potsdam.
Bora Erdinc, B.A.
Karin Schmidt, M.A.
Karin Schmidt supports the presidents in all matters, especially with regard to internationalization, accreditation and the further strategic development of the university. She also serves as the Erasmus Coordinator of the university. Karin Schmidt has a background in American Studies, Linguistics and German as a Foreign language. Prior to her positon at BAU International Berlin, she has taught, researched and worked at universities in Germany (Freie Universität Berlin, Universität Potsdam) and abroad (Dokuz Eylül University/Izmir, Uzbek State University of World Languages/Tashkent).
